Justin "3LAU" is a progressive house producer and DJ by night; college junior by day. Currently 21 years old, 3LAU balances a full course load at Washington University in St. Louis with a nationwide tour schedule and hours devoted to producing the bootlegs and remixes that have charted in the overall top 10 on both Beatport and Hype Machine. Combining top-40 acapellas with instrumental bangers, 3LAU kickstarted his career by producing signature mixes that transcend the traditional definition of a bootleg, seamlessly weaving tracks that breed dance floor filth. Now, the next phase begins, as 3LAU prepares to release his next original track and embark on a headlining tour in the fall.
With a background in piano, guitar, and drums, 3LAU first produced indie/folk, but a trip to Sweden in the summer of 2011 opened his eyes to the world of house music. Starting in EDM just a year ago, 3LAU’s achievements include the #1 remix in Tiesto's “Work Hard, Play Hard” remix competition, a #3 overall Beatport release, a residency at Marquee in Las Vegas, and a main stage slot at Electric Zoo, NY. 3LAU has also received critical acclaim from top blogs This Song is Sick, Gotta Dance Dirty, and Earmilk, as well as Hardwell, R3hab, Bob Sinclar, Robbie Rivera, Porter Robinson and Tristan Garner.
